Welcome to Point in Time Counselling – a space where you can pause, reflect, and identify what you need to create the life you want.
About me
Hi, I’m Fareen, a qualified psychotherapist dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s many challenging events. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety or depression, unhappy in your relationships, going through an intense life transition, or feeling stuck and grappling with doubt, I believe there comes a time where we need to pause and ask ourselves “what can I do differently?”.
My commitment is to meet you at that point and support you on your journey towards real transformation.

Change can feel scary, but it doesn’t have to be.
Together we can explore and make meaning of what feels important to you so that you can take ownership of your life choices and move towards a more fruitful way of living. My goal is to create a compassionate and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood and empowered to explore your thoughts and emotions.
What can you expect?
I take an integrative approach to therapy, meaning I draw from various therapeutic skills and techniques. Rather than adopting a one-size-fit-all method, integrative therapy allows me to combine elements from a range of psychological theories. This flexibility means we can adapt our work together based on what feels most effective to you, helping you to gain insights, build coping skills and work towards your personal goals.
We can often feel stuck and overwhelmed, and it helps to have a space to share what’s on your mind. I will work with you to build a trusting relationship so that you can feel supported in your next steps.
What can I help with?
Anxiety
Depression
Relationship problems
Self-esteem/issues with confidence
Experiences of trauma
Burnout/stress (incl. workplace stress, such as in relation to Humanitarian Aid)
Addiction/substance use
Sex/sexuality and identity
Loss and bereavement
Loneliness and isolation
Keep in mind, this list isn’t exhaustive - some of these themes often connect and overlap, which means we can work through more than one area together.
Contact me to arrange an initial call, where we can explore whether working together feels like the right fit for you.
